Last night we played our first job post-Katrina. Spend a few months thinking you`ll never see your old band mates , the loyal following, or the old dives you used to play. Our crowd went nuts!! Here in New Orleans the bars are jam packed. We allways had a strong following , but now the audience is more appreciative , and so are the musicians. No longer are we taken for granted. There now is a curfew in effect, 2:00 am. It`s great ! No more playing till 4:00 am, start and end earlier. Lots of love in the old bar rooms lately. Don`t take anything for granted , it can all end in a heartbeat. Be thankfull for what you got . I am. |

Steve,
You couldn't be more right in what you're saying. Sometimes I get down & discouraged when things aren't going my way. But all you have to do is think about guys like you and your band and it really makes you wake up. Glad your gig went well. Nick

This is really good news. Imagining the Quarter in the dark is not a great image.
Not surprising that the denizens of New Orleans were there in numbers whooping it up. |
