I will be playing at a woman’s revival meeting on Saturday afternoon and evening then again on Sunday.

In the rehearsals, they are heavy on a 16 member choir and bass guitar and do a lot of traditional, old time gospel so, all I do is simple two finger chords in time with the bass beat; which I love to do (no licks or fill ins).

This weekend we're taking the western swing band up to Claude, TX at the Gem Theater for the Home On the Range Radio Hour. This is the blues themed show.

Also, tuesday we're videotaping another session of "Country Jukebox" at school. Just a quick 30 minute show that'll air sometime later, perhaps Thursday the 20th.

Happy Pickin'

I am playing in a band for a gypsy's daughter's birthday party in a marquee. I have a horrible sinking feeling that we may struggle to get paid at the end of the night!!

Played the last two nights at The 7 Mile Ford Grille. Had a good crowd last night, kind of thin on Friday, though.

This is a first...later today I am playing with my duo 2CAN at "Dog Fest" in Level Cross,NC (Home of Richard Petty Enterprises). I can't wait to see all the Dog festivities. The one I am looking most forward to is the Greyhound adoption booth. A female friend of mine has 3 of them.

I think Church counts Ernie, I play two services every Sunday morning at Christian Life Church in Austin, Tx. at 8:45 and 11:00. We usually do three or four Praise and Worship songs each service and occasionally back up a soloist or trio. We also have service the first and third Sunday nights each month, and also Wednesday nights.

Well, if you are in Sacramento and you want to hear what a player sounds like after 6 months of playing (here's a hint: "sick cat") then I will be playing Friday at the Fox & Goose www.foxandgoose.com and Saturday at The Old Ironsides www.theoldironsides.com
Regards,
Joe

PS I should warn y'all that the Saturday show is a Danzig/Misfits tribute, so if you are a country die-hard it might not be you cup-o-tea.
