I have lost track of Harlan, and was wondering who might know where he is and if he is still picking?

Met Harland several years back when he was with Boxcar in Branson. Bought his gospel tape(cassette, not 8 track).

Thanks guys, at least now I know where to look. I haven't been to Branson in over 10 yrs. Guess it's time to go again.

I recently bought an old (1954) Country Song book with a very young Ray Price on the cover and a very young Harlan Powell inside....playing a stand up guitar with his name of the front. Neat old pix.

As best as I can recall, the first and last time I met Harlan was in 1971 when I was working with Billy Walker and Harlen was working with Sonny James! We all met at a truck~stop to fuel-up. (That included food too!)

If I'm not mistaken, I think Harland passed away a couple of years ago. Don't quote me before checking further but seems to me that I heard that he did.
