Chuck Caldwell

Does any one know how Chuck is and/or if he is still with us?I recieved an e mail from some one in Lawton,Ok some time back but can't recall who it was from.Chuck was an amazing non pedal steel player and used a straight pick and his finger nails.Many a steel player walked up to the band stand and coulden't believe he wasn't using pedals.Any info on him appreciated.Tracy
