Nils Tuxen

Me and a couple of other steelers, among those fobro Ole Dantoft, went to hear Nils Tuxen perform with a band this past wednesday.

A great evening was had by all, and admittingly it was a special pleasure for me, as Nils actually was one of the first steelers I noticed already back when I was just a kid.

He was playing a JCH D-10 with (as I remember it) 9 pedals and 7 levers, and jumping seamlessly between the e9 and c6 necks during solos.
Furthermore he's the only steeler I ever heard of who plays with a halfstop on a vertical. As I asked him he couldn't mention anybody else either.

He's good'un, and a world class lead guitarist, too.....also a world class human being...I've never known a more caring, loving person...well, maybe just one other....

I'll second all the above !

I've seen and heard Nils several times and he never fails to amaze me - he truly IS world class in every respect !

It was also a very nice evening with no less than 5 Danish steelers in one room - a world record I guess ?
