I got to meet Bro Hal and all the guys in the group Philadelpheia this weekend. They were at Murmil Baptist Sat night and at our church(Green Grove Assembly) Sunday mornin.
Bro Hal is as nice as anybody I've ever met, and one of the best steel players I've ever heard. If you ever get a chance to hear these guys play and sing you will be blessed, I promise you. They are truly sincere in what they do. God bless, Bro Hal.
Hope to see you, Jim, Lee and all the guys again sometime.

Terry....it was indeed a pleasure to meet you and your lovely lady, Cathy, (hope I spelled her name right) this past weekend when Philadelpheia was in El Dorado, AR. We had a wonderful time with you and your church family Sunday Morning. We look forward to coming back sometime. Please tell Bro. Adams and the rest of the church family that we truly enjoyed ministering to you all, and we thank them for the love offering and those who bought CD's. Hope to see you again sometime soon....the pleasure was all mine Terry.......keep in touch......HAL

Guys, I would have to say that Bro. Hal Higgins is one of the finest steel players that I have heard. He has that classic Emmons tone and is smooth as glass. The drummer with their group, Donnie Breeland is also one of the finest drummers I have ever worked with. He and I have done both stage shows and studio work together. What a combination. I have heard the group, and they really are great and a blessing. Keep up that great sound Hal. |
