There used to be a Pedal Steel Guitar store
in Glendale, Arizona back in the mid '90s, anyone know what happened to it, and where it moved to?
I beleive it was called The AxeHouse and was on Northern or Glendale Ave, near the Antique District in Glendale.

I read where Fred Justice opened a Guitar Store in Casa Grande. I dont know if he specializes in Steel but he plays a mean steel and Im sure he leans that way.

I don't remember the store in Glendale but Music Brokers used to always have a few. The guy running it back then is gone and no more steels there now. Fred's site is www.fredjusticemusic.com

Unfortunately, there is no dedicated or specialized steel shop in the area. Fred Justice's place (Fred's Music) is in Globe and you see a post or two about it in the Announcements section. De-No Music in Casa Grande carries a few steels as well as Peavey amps.

John Rickard works on steels locally and usually has a few used models floating around his shop. Desert Rose Steel Guitars are based in Tucson.

Miguel,,

I thought De-Noes was out of business, last time I was down there several yrs. ago Dennis was in bad health, and his son was running the store. Am I all confused??

Larry...

DeNo's is alive and well. Doing lots of amps and a few steels now and then. Dennis is not in good health, but comes to the store every week or so. His son, Noel is running the store, but they are open and doing great.

Robert-Was that the old Arizona Music store in Glendale?

I was there in the early 70's, and they had a very good steel player as a teacher and he played at Mr.Luckys , played a ZB.

I tried out a Fender PS 210 there and liked it. But they pulled it off the market.

If you are in Scottsdale, stop in at Porters Western Wear, downtown. My friend,Bob Meadows. a great westerm swing player owned it , now passed away, and I think his wife Marj still runs it......al

Robert,
I used to run Axecessories in Glendale. We had GFI's, Sierra's and a few other steel lines along with many other steel related items. I do Steel repairs/mods and lessons from my home when I am not on the road playing. I am also a Fender Certified repair tech for those non-steelers out there. Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Yeah, glad to hear De-No's is still rockin'. I was thinking I talked to Noel not too long ago and he was still doin' it. Billy, I figured you'd know if anyone would.

With all the buzz with the steel events here, I wouldn't be surprised if someone opened up a specialty store in the not to distant future (nope...not me). John? Billy? Fred, wanna open store #2?

Thanks for all the great info about PSGs in the local area. The shop in Glendale was
"Axecessorie", and am glad that John posted his web address.
