Hi. Last I heard Billy Dale was in the Van Buren/Ft. Smith area of Arkansas. It's been a few months since I have seen him.

One time Billy Dale and I were good friends, took lessons from him in 1973.
He lives in Ft Smith Ar.
2904 S.100th st.

When I found him after 30 yrs, he did not remember me, hope you have better luck.
billy is a great steel player and song writer and singer, he sang with the Dixie Echoes when I knew him. He may bew having senior moments.

In April or May of 1963 I saw a steel player with a country band at the service club in Fort Chaffee, Arkansas. The name on the front of the steel guitar was Dale Sexton. Would this be the same guy? Too bad I didn't own a camera at the time.

Curt, if you wish to see Billy Dale he will probably be at Ronnie's Steel Show in Hot Springs this weekend. He has been at every show there for the last few years best I remember. He does not play steel on the show but usually sings a few Gospel songs. Dale attends the First Assembly of God Church in Van Buren and will be a featured artist at the July 4th celebration at Martin Luther King park in Fort Smith, Ar. This celebration and fire works display is sponsored by the Van Buren First Assembly. I gave Billy Dale steel lessons when he was about 10 to 12 years old and he was one of the best students I had.

Well, I just got home from playing the Hot Springs Steel Show at Ronnie's. I had to come back for my Opry show tonight. Anyway, Billy Dale sang on my set in Hot Springs. He sang a song he wrote "I Want To See Jesus 'Cause He Died For Me". It is a great song and he did a great job singing it with me about 4 1/2 hours ago.
