Anybody know who plays steel with the Oak Ridge Boys? I'm playing steel in the opening act on a show in July, and was cutious as to who might be manning the steel for the boys.

I don't believe anybody is. I don't think they carry a steel.(unless, someone might be "doubling")

THEY HAD A STEEL PLAYER WITH THEM LAST YEAR AT THE KY. STATE FAIR, BUT I DON'T RECALL HIS NAME. HE ALSO DOUBLED ON SOMETHING ELSE, MAYBE A FIDDLE. THE SOUND SYSTEM JUST ABOUT HAD HIM TO LOW TO HEAR.

Several years ago a young man name of Paul Martin played for them. i used to play around with guitar in his dad's studio. He
used one of those great Scully lathes to do
recording and it produced some fine sounds.
Paul Graduated from Berea State college in Richmond Ky. and majored in mucic. TJH
