I heard a new tune from this on the radio, which had some pedal steel, and I do like his Americana stuff. Looked up the CD (double CD, 9 tunes on each) on ebay -- bought it, and saw that Cindy plays both pedal and lap on it. I would imagine that she's part of his touring group, too, which is or soon to be on the road. Anybody have further info? |

I think Bob Hoffnar did some of the tunes, but I'm not sure which. |

Cindy Cashdollar did indeed play beautiful non-pedal steel guitar on the latest Ryan Adams double cd "Cold Roses" She did play a bunch of things that sounded very pedal steely, most notably on the single "Let It Ride", but as far as I know, she used her double 8 lap steel. Due to some scheduling conflicts, I find myself in te steel guitar chair now and I will be heard on Ryans' next cd due out in August currently titled "Jacksonville City Lights". The final track list has not been etched in stone yet but Bob Hoffnar did record a couple of the 18 songs we did at the time. I had a scheduling conflict of my own had had to miss 2 days in te studio. Jon Graboff, reporting from tht road in Pittsburgh. |
