Hi Jack,

Billy called one time many years ago and he was in CA then, but I don't have a number on him. He played for our wedding in 65 when he was with our old friend Bobby Hankins.

The last time I saw Billy Wayne was in Fresno around sevety three, I think. He said he had it down to ten parts, and I've been wondering what he meant ever since. I took it to mean he could work out any or all of ten parts harmony. If so he was a monster with chords.

DAYBOY! You be right on!! some of my best memories afield were huntin behind Ole Speck and Tojo, wish I could say the same for you. I remember ordering you the UGLIEST guitar I ever sold anyone!!!! LOL

Jimmie, found that old beat up ring on a trash pile in the NE corner of a building.

Howard, I remember being in Billy Waynes apartment in Olwien IA, when he was working with Bobby Hankins and the Blue Boys,60s, and he had an old Fender 1000 (I believe) in piles of parts all over the floor. He was one of the original TINKERERS, he would have loved the Forum back then.

Howard,

How's it going ol' bud?

Last time I saw Billy Wayne was around 1970 at The Outpost in Visalia, out on south Mooney Blvd.

I played [at] his steel for a set. Seems like it was a ZB.

Sure like to hear from him if he's still around.

Hey Jimmie. You still got that pretty Sho-Bud? I played a couple nights with Billy at the old Nashville West. That was before we played together. The group we played in had some good stuff, too bad it didn't stay together.

Hey Bud,
Good to hear from you on the Forum! Yup, I remember Billy Wayne--I played lead guitar on Hankin's band while Billy played steel. I usually stood right next to him so I could peer over his shoulder and absorb alot of his steel guitar licks. He was a good friend and wish I knew where he is now. ...lefty

I worked with Billy Wayne in '73 at a place called The Red Barn in San Jose, CA. I think he went to Fresno after that gig. Heard he was in a terrible car crash around that time, but I think he pulled out of it after a long healing spell .....
