This particular song is for all my Texas buddies that heard me "butcher" this great Bobby Garritt composition when I played his memorial show in Tyler Texas. This is to make it right.
I loved Bobby Garrett and this is one of my favorite steel instrumentals of all time.
Rose City Chimes is a rough steel song for me to play, must be for others also because I sure don't hear guys doing it often however I get folks asking me to play it all the time, but it's pretty impossible to do if the band isn't real familiar with it. I cut this session in Austin TX. and used the real, authentic fiddlers that have been working that area forever. Thank you fellow players.

Yey--- for Bobbee, you know I think Bobbe ought to get his on Sat. afternoon tv. show. I mean, can't you just see him,as his name is being called,AND NOW LADYS AND GENTALMEN ON STEELGUITAR BOBBEE SEYMOUR and he as starts taking that long walk down the hall to the center stage where his darlin steel has been set up waiting for his gentle touch,, the cameara lights glaring on his loud,tapping, shinny boots. yeah another Porter Wagner makeover on steelguitar.

One of Mrs. Lee's favorite tunes. Don't encourage her - she'll make me learn it.

You should already know it b0b! A standard tune in the industry, now, you need to teach the wife to play it. Should be easier to play and greater sounding on your twelve string guitar!

Jack, well, no more from this new CD, wouldn't be fair to those who are buying it, but how about something from my "Pure Steel" CD? Something like "Rocky Top", this CD is still available and one of my most liked by the true country music steel guitar lovers.
If you and other Forum steelers would like me to link you to "Rocky Top", let me know here and now. Just say, yes, yep, you betcha, do it, hurry up, I'm tired of waiting, do it before I come over there------------- and so on. Just tell me and I will,

Rumor has it that Stu Basore and I will be doing a country steel CD together to salute the great Faron Young that we both worked with and loved.

Stu and I went through the AirForce together and worked in the same band while stationed in "Gene Autry" Oklahoma. Seriously.

This CD will be done before next summer. I promise it will be good. Stu is one of the finer long time working steel players in Nashville TN. Hundreds of recording sessions and even more TV shows to his credit. Stu is the main Opry sub steel player. He has hundreds of other great credits and should be in the "Hall Of Fame" as much or more than anyone I can think of.
