I have been asked to post this by Jack Hamlett who is currently working on a project about the history of the steel guitar - please get in touch with him if you can help out. Here is Jack's message:

Slim Idaho was an exceptional steel player who played with Paul Howard, Cowboy Copas, and others during the 1940's. His brother James Aderhold is supposed to still be alive. James Aderhold lives or had recently lived in Jacksonville, Florida. If someone knows James Aderhold or knows how to contact him, please contact me. I would like to do an interview with James Aderhold. I am most appreciative of any help I receive in this.
Sincerely,
Jack Hamlett

Jack Hamlett is the person I've been working with to assist him in writing a thesis about the steel guitar and all you players. He's a very dedicated individual and has spent untold monies conducting live interviews with several players and manufacturers. He's for real. I had to renege on Slim Idaho (a pseudonym) because I never heard or met him in person. Any help you cats can give him would be certainly appreciated on this player. Thanks in advance. Image

According to Jack, his real name was Dewey Adderhold. I knew Slim in the 40's but never knew his real name.
