Okay, I know my buddy Jody Carver loves baseball but, with spring training in gear and the MLB season only a month away, who else is a fan of our National Pastime and the "boys of summer"?

I lost five bucks to my bartender when he bet me Kansas City would beat the Cardinals in 85 when the Cards were already ahead four games in The World Series.

Been a die-hard Indians fan for a long time, but Shapiro and the Dolenz' have destroyed the team.

Now that Charlie Manuel is at the helm with the Phils and Thome is sluggin' away, I'm becoming a Phillies fan for the first time since I was a kid.

Of course, gotta love those Yankee killin' Red Sox!

I've been a frustrated Texas Ranger fan since they came here in '72. We always have the Yankees and Red Sox to get pas t when playoff time comes. Maybe someday before I die, they will win a pennant.

Cubs all the way. Nuthin' like Wrigley Field in the summertime with a beer and a bag o'peanuts.
Beware the bleecher creatures.

Steel Guitar and Baseball? Are you kidding? I am already playing catch, too old to run though.

Die hard Cubs fan here. I watch or listen to about 80% of the games. I like NFL, NHL(doh!), hate NBA......but nothing compares to the boys of Summer.

It is truly a thinking mans game, and it takes a certain zen understanding to really get it.

Will be in FL next week, hoping to catch some spring ball.

Lifelong hardcore Red Sox fan, obviously had a good year last year. I have to confess, after '86, I was convinced I wouldn't live to see them go all the way. Very happy to be wrong, I can live in peace now.

Oh my, two of my favorite things in the world!!! Lifelong, diehard, and suffering Kansas City Royals fan (and MO native). Prospects don't look good this year according to the experts, but hope springs eternal.

Speaking of the greatest game ever invented, did anyone catch CMT Crossroads with John Fogerdy and Keith Urban? Did you see the baseball bat guitar Fogerdy played when he did "Centerfield"? I want one! Maybe a baseball bat lap steel????

Sadly, no steel guitar...

I'm with Larry and Jody: Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field. After they abandoned us in New York, I kinda lost heart and interest in the game. They tried to replace them with TWO separate teams, but it didn't work for me.

Padre fan since the Pacific Coast League days!!! By the way, Ted Williams started his baseball career with the Padres in the 30's....rj
