Hey guys-

Spent all day Saturday with Corky Owens!!!
We had a ball! Gene Watson, David Frizzell and Janie Fricke all played a Casino in North Dakota.

Corky played his tail off and we had a lot of fun just hanging out on the bus after the show.

If any of you get a chance....check out the Gene Watson show when they come to your local area. You will not be disappointed!

Great Playing Corky!

Hi totally agree! Corky is one fine gentleman indeed and a great player. We spent a great deal of time talking the last 2 times he was on my end. It would also seem that a number of singers seem to slow down a bit over the years. However, Gene has done just the opposite. He sings better now than ever. Simply amazing band there he has backing him up and some really nice people.

I just have a question. Is Corky Owens the same person as "Pee-Wee" Owens, who used to play for Joe Stampley?

Thanks guy's. Ya'll are way to nice because i'm an old guy.Great time with Billy and the guy's. Just wish we had more time. I could get Billy to show me some Reece Anderson secrets. And yes. I was with Joe in the late 70's. Joe gave me the nickname "PeeWee". Those were the day's.
