| Just received the album "Slidin Smoke" with Jeff Newman and Mike Auldridge, Flying Fish label. If you have a chance to latch onto this album, don't pass it up. Great steel playing by a young Jeff Newman and outstanding dobro playing by Mike Auldridge. Haven't seen this album around much...got mine on ebay. |

| Yep, it's mighty fine. I just picked it up at the Penn State University radio station, which just sold all its vinyl. Their loss is my gain, I came home with about 80 vinyl albums for $2.00 apiece, tax included. Lotsa bluegrass and some other steel records, including the Nashville Superpickers album, with Buddy Emmons & Russ Hicks on steel, Phil Baugh on lead guitar. The local newspaper ran a cover story on this sale, wondering aloud why anyone could possibly still be interested in vinyl. Just possibly, the music was worth listening to - several hundred people crowded around these record bins to scoop up deals. |

The Slidin' Smoke CD has been re-issued by a record company in Korea. I'm currently out of stock and awaiting a new shipment, and should have some in a month or so. I'm really happy to hear that you guys are still interested in that recording. It means a lot to me because of all the great memories I have of Jeff.
