There are many deserving steelers that help us out on the Forum. I would like to nominate Ricky Davis for Forum Man Of The Year for all the help he has given me and others this year. He answers all posts about many topics and posts some good tab and straightens out the tab of others.

He restores guitars and gives us some nice photos to enjoy. He hosts pictures for others selling their guitars.

I like his playing too.

Furthermore, when he walks into a room of steel players he lowers the average weight and age by quite a bit.

It would be hard to find a nicer guy.

So Ricky, thanks!

Ricky has my vote too. He's offered a great deal of help to me and one of the kindest steelers I've had the great pleasure to meet. All around real nice guy and his work here on the forum has helped no telling how many newbies. Great job Ricky and I'm proud to call you a friend.

Ricky has my vote also, he is so good at helping others, he answers my questions before I'm smart enough, (about steel)to ask the questions.

Ricky's dedication to this forum is most impressive. He has helped me a lot.
Ricky's comments show up in every Sho-Bud search. If you add up all the Sho-Bud information in this forum from Ricky, you could copy and paste it all in one place, categorize it, and make a very impressive "Sho-Bud Manual". What do you think, b0b?

Count one more vote for Ricky.

From a relatively new member.

I would also add my vote for Ricky Davis for "Man Of The Year". Ricky has contributed to the Steel Guitar Forum immensely. He has helped many people with their questions and problems here. Bravo Ricky and thank you. I would also like to thank Herb Steiner, Brad Sarno, and Donny Hinson, and Carl Dixon also.

Another vote for Ricky. He has a heart as big as Texas, with playing to match, and goes out of his way to share everything he knows with anyone who wants to know it. As good a guy as there is out there.

Oh, boy, this is difficult. Sure, Ricky deserves "Man O' the Year" and has my vote early and often; but I have to voice some fervent support for (among many others who have contributed so much to this Forum and given all of us so much) Brad Sarno and Rick Aiello. Hoping to make this work all around, I am going to post something in "Electronics" and "No Peddlers" for both of them.

Meanwhile, Ricky ...aha... you have put so much heart and soul into what's going on here -- and this has nothing to do with the fact that I am a [2] Sho-Bud guy -- thanks a million, and may you prosper in all you want to do in the New Year!

Steve is most definitely on target. He provides us with valuable steel info, his course of licks, hosts our photos, and has recently even given us his secret recipe for finishing wood bodied guitars. Does it all without asking for dough. You da man, Ricky
