Do I hear a verb in the title that's changed into a noun during the song? Yep. Sometimes that's what a man needs.

You want an honest answer? The singer isn't great, the steel is nice, the band (bass, drums, guitar) is OK. The song sucks. Just my 2 cents.

Funny I didn't reall hear the song or the lyrics when i listened before,
I just was focused on the instrumental melodic work looking for the steel parts.
I can ignore elements and just look for one or two things, and not HEAR the others, after 35 years mixing.

Lyrically it is conceptualy OK, but too clichéd and delivery is fair...
In other words what he wants to say is OK, but it was said poorly.
Some lines are just plain corny...

Fiddle player is OK and the piano isn't bad. Guitar is pretty standard.

The mix might be laid low by the mp3 converter, but it is really lacking crispness.

I enjoyed the steel more than the rest...
[This message was edited by David L. Donald on 06 January 2005 at 02:37 AM.]
