Any idea what tuning he used (eight-string) and what the palm pedals did?

This is what Stacey Phillips showed in one of his dobro book's.

1-D
2-B
3-E---F#
4-C#------D
5-A
6-E
7-C#
8-A

Here's a tuning I've been playing around with on a 7 string trying to play some pedal
sounding licks with.
1-E
2-F#
3-D
4-B
5-G
6-D
7-B
I've been thinking about adding a E for the 6th string and move the D to the 7th.

Weldon told me that the sucker wouldn't stay in tune long enough to hardly get through a song. He described it as a "phase." LOL!

BUDDY,

YOU HAVE TO HAVE A "LOW FRICTION" SADDLE INSTALLED !

GRAPH TECH "STRING SAVER" SADDLE BLANKS
ARE THE ESSENTIAL ELEMENT TO MAKE IT WORK!

I BET THAT HE DID NOT DO THIS!
