I went out Saturday night to listen to Fuzzy Whitener, a local guy here in Texas who has gone unnoticed for a few years. Fuzzy played with Gary Stewart and others and has just gotten back into playing after laying off a few years. He has a new Fessenden double and a new Hilton pedal. He sounded like a million dollars and just wanted to let you know fuzz, it was an enjoyable evening hearing you play...

That's interesting, is this the same Fuzzy Whitener who recorded with Jerry Dykes on Starday back in the '50s? (Well I guess there can't be TWO Fuzzy Whiteners...)

Actually I believe that was Fuzzy Sr., an old guitar legend in these parts. He passed away a few years ago. This is Fuzzy Jr., his son, who also happens to be probably the best blues guitarist in this area as well.

George, thanks your too kind,it was really good to see you. After you played my guitar at break I must admit I had sweaty hands having to play in front of such a good player. Call me sometime and lets get together. Andrew that was my father on the starday label with Jerry Dyke. He passed away in 1991 I think about him often, thanks for the inquire.
