What would we possibly have to do to con you into writing a book about playing steel guitar - both history and technique? Your answer to question #1 leads me to believe you might even enjoy this.

That sounds like an interesting idea. It would be nice to get an inside look into the mind of one of the best pedal steel inovaters. I would love to see how some of Buddys playing styles evolved, and what was driving him in these directions. Wow, do it Buddy!

Buddy, I would love to see your adventure in this life put in writing. Just think of the good you could do by leaving this history for others benefit and enjoyment. Not only of some of the personal experiences but your knowledge of the psg and music theory, copedants, etc..... I think we all have a purpose here.

Maybe someone could offer a gesture of goodwill with a hefty retainer to get the writing process started?

I've asked Buddy an untold amount of times to write a book. At one time he even started one. He said re-living certain events from his past were really making him depressed and bringing him down. So, he stopped writing it. He said maybe at another time. So, from time to time I ask again. IMHO it would be a wonderful idea!

(BTW: I'd probably call it: At E's )

Ernie
