C6th standard stock song charts

Post by Jeff Sconyers »

Where can I find song charts for the standard stock C6th songs that everybody plays at steel guitar shows. I need to find some for the boys in the band to use. I just don't have time to sit down and chart them myself. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try this web site http://ralphpatt.com/index.html
There are charts for jazz standards and I am sure you can fine a few to play.

I used that page when I was doing solo gigs and occasionally have a sax man w/me. I would cut a BIAB trak with the embellished chords for the sax man to solo with and I would play the 2nd chorus using the vanilla chords for melody playing along with the embellished chords. He could hear the embellished chords better and I could not see the benefit putting a big blob of chords over the deep chords on the trak. Worked out fine, we were both happy and made a few bucks. CC

A good site for standards,
but a VERY unusual site for guitar players.

At the moment I have one guitar tuned in 3rds as he shows there.

Very, VERY curious, some of the chords are a bit out, finger wise,
but the melodic lines do have an interesting logic to them.
