I needed an extra set. Well, good luck finding them.
So, I went to a few hardware stores and found 3/4 inch, Coarse threaded rod. It came in 2 foot and 5 foot sections. It works fine. Very little, if any, variation of the threads.
Just cut to length with a hack saw and you're done. If you don't like the color, you can paint or make boots. Or, 3/4 inch shrink tube.
Total cost: $12 and 10 minutes of sweat. |

As a metalshop teacher, I had another thought. What about buying aluminum tubing and put a piece of threaded rod in the end? You would have to drill and pin it to keep the rod from spinning. Buy a set of rubber ends, and you have a nice set of legs. The tubing could be polished up and lacquered. I thought the thread was 1/2-13? Would microphone stands work? Now if I could only play as good as I can fabricate, LOL. |

A 1" X 1/2"-13 cap screw pushed into an aluminum tube works fine.

Ron, I tossed the tag, but I believe the rod I got was 3/4-10.
The external tubing is a good idea. If the I.D. is 3/4" a tight fit might even be enough to stop any rotation. |

Jody & Paul,
Sorry to disappoint you, but I bought the legs from Mike. He had 3 for sale and I needed them for a project I'm working on. However, I recently bought some Sho~Bud parts over e-bay that included 4 legs from a Sho~Bud. I don't know if they would work or not but I'll check them out after I receive them and see if they have the same thread as Fenders.
