I was bidding on a 3 neck Stringmaster but didn't win it... and then I received this quote: mikehenrick,
Congratulations, I have decided to give you a second chance offer to buy my auction item, The other high bider has decided that he doesn't want the item, If you would like to take the offer the total is $1,001.79 plus $30.00 for shipping. At this time I can only accept money order or cashiers check, due to transactions not going through properly with paypal, Please make payment via money order or cashiers check out to:
Brook Dawson
Po.Box 44750
Tacoma,Wa 98444
The REAL seller told me this quote: Hello Mike,
Glad you asked. It looks like this Brook Dawson is a scam artist.
I have a Bellingham Wa. mailing address, and my wife is a US citizen,
but we live in Langley B.C. Canada............
Looks like this person has found a way to use other ebay users ID. DO NOT
SEND ANY MONEY!.
Were you bidding on my Fender steel and are you in the UK?
Cheers,
Roger.
So BEWARE of second chance offers UNLESS they come to you on the genuine E-Bay form... even then beware.

If I had more time, I'd be happy to go down and hang around the Tacoma post office (w/ a baseball bat).

I DID report it to E-Bay... and as for the baseball bat ..... I think an "Ingram M11" might be more in line !!!!
Baz
Pity it all went wrong, yesterday was my birthday and I though I'd struck it lucky..

Baz: I never knew what an "Ingram M11" was until just now -- how about if we compromise and agree on Slazenger V1200 cricket bat?
Whatever the choice, happy birthday! Don't let some larcenous jerk ruin it ... |

I would gladly pay $1,001.79 plus $30.00 shipping for the video of Baz and Russ wielding an Ingram M11 and Slazenger V1200, taking care of this guy in front of the Tacoma post office.

Why don't you post his email adress here, and some of us might want to send him a little note to put the fear of god into him. BTW, Personaly I prefer my Steyer GB to the Ingram. |

Yes , that's a good idea regarding the e-mail address... although I doubt very much I It's real.... the name:- rammer jetlin
ramjet2100@yahoo.com
BTW the REAL seller uses ramjet2100 as his E-Bay pseudonym.(?sp)
a NICE man Named Roger Rajotte.
Ok Loni....I don't know about the Steyr GB ... only 18 rounds and the Ingram has 20 30 and 50 shot mags.
From a distanceI would Prefer a Winchester mod 70 in 220 Swift, ....
the Ingram is real easy to silence (relatively)

I prefer the john Pearse thermo-Cryonic bar. A drop from about 22 feet should do it. |

I've never cared much for James Ingram anyhow so I don't care if he has 20, 30 or 50 shot mags....

I realy should never had responded to the "Baseball Bat" comment in such a way....my appologies, it's just when I was in Ireland I used to collect guns as well as guitars.
Here in the UK It's a wilderness,..but on the "Forum" I am probably "Out of Order" . I suppose my hobies should be discussed elsewhere.
Sorry !!.

Baz, I have a better idea. Tell him you're going for the deal and you're sending a money order. Then put some white powder and a Tarrot death card in the envelope.
BTW- on second thought, my 34" "Johnny Bench" Louieville Slugger would be more appropriate |

You guys are really out of hand! I agree that something must be done, but at least do it with a lap steel guitar.
I'm closing this thread unless someone objects. |

I could always send him a CD of the "Big Ben Hawaiian Band" or the "Waikiki Beach Boys".
!!
That'd make sure he left me alone in the future.
Baz
BTW sometime I must make a post about how I got my contract with EMI-Time Warner. |
