ISGC highlights for me

Here are a few of my highlights of a great convention:

Sarah Jory's two sets and her performance in the Peavey room.

Al Brisco's set especially "Ralph's Reel" and the monster band that accompanied him.

Steve Patico's guitar playing with Al Brisco on stage and Tommy Dodd in the Peavey room.

Listening to Tom Brumley and Larry Sasser telling "war stories" in the Fender room.

Joe Wright's version of "Come Monday" in his set. Done simply but so beautifully.

Dicky Overby and Jake Hooker. Seems like you'd be listening along and then-Wow what was that? What a player.

I never get tired of hearing Doug Jernigan play.

Watching Lynn Owsley spend 15 minutes with a blind man reading the liner notes for his CD and then refusing to take any money for it.

Meeting a lot of friendly folks and listening to the music I love the best.
