Add me to the lifelong Ricky Davis fanclub. A cooler, smarter, more knowledgeable, better player, and sweeter guy doesn't exist. Just think Ricky, another 16,992 fans or so, and you'll be as big as Robert Randolph!!

I can only sing along in the praises for Ricky. Just managed to buy my first pedal steel guitar (a Sho-Bud Pro II Custom) thanks to the kind and invaluable help from Ricky. I'm eagerly waiting to go pick it up in a couple of weeks in Austin.

Ricky H. I've got that CD. Your playin' is mighty fine on there. Russ gave me the CD last time we were up in Rocky Mount. He was at the Spoke in Austin this past Saturday. He was in town for Buck's birthday bash. He got up and sat in. He danced with every girl in the place I think. That guy is a hoot for sure. We did a couple of Buck tunes. Go figure. |

Chris, I thank you a lot for your nice comments. You are right ole Russ is a fun guy all the time.I really enjoy playing with Russ every chance I get.I also play steel and sing tenor for a Gospel group called the Oak grove Boys.Check our website at WWW.oakgroveboys.com. I echo everything that all the guys say about Ricky Davis. He can't know just how much he has help keep the steel guitar family plucking away at this monster. Our band is going to be playing "Lost in the Feeling" thanks to Ricky. There was one part that I just couldn't nail until I found the tab on Ricky's site. Now everyone thinks I'm a pro.
Also thanks to everyone of those real pros who invented these beautiful melodies and licks. John, Buddy, Lloyd, Hal, Doug, Paul, et al. |

I am grateful to Ricky everytime I use his tab for guidance; also for what he does for the psg in general in helping a lot of us. It gives me a psychological boost reading his posts on this forum; such a great attitude. |

Hey Ricky,
Was looking forward to meeting you in Boise this Summer with Dale Watson, but alas, you are not on the road anymore. Palousek is pretty darn good, dontcha think? I absolutley love Dreamland. Also, missed Dale when I was in Austin for Hal Ketchum's reunion at Gruene Hall in early August as he was in Switzerland and cancelled his Thursday night gig at Ginny's. Had to suffer through Alvin Crow at the Spoke instead! Yeah right! I hope to find an old Sho-Bud S-10 for you to restore in the next year or so! Love your work and your website. The House of Wood makes me drool! Keep up the good work!
