Hey folks,
I'm a new member as of today!
Been reading the Steel Guitar forum for over a year now and thought it was about time to join.
I am a Steeler from the Dallas/Ft.Worth area.
Looking forward to many conversations with you fine folks and learning more about the instrument that I love!

Hey Mark,
Yes, I am currently the Lead Guitarist and Band Leader for Janie Fricke.
I did play Steel with her last year...but moved into the leader role this year....so I hired Robert Langford to play Fiddle and Steel so I could concentrate on Harmony Vocals as well.
I do play some sessions here in town...and pick up a few live gigs when I'm in town.
How about you Mark?
Who are you Steeling with?

Hey Sam. Yall just played in Houston last friday I think and I missed it. I can't believe that i did, but that is the way it goes. Is Johnny writing any new material? Does he have a site? Next time you see him, tell him he has a huge fan in Tomball, TX.

Welcome Billy. Janie Fricke? man, I always loved to hear her sing. it's a shame, these
hip-hop bee-bop so called country female singers of today, are gettin all the air time
while good singers like Janie Fricke are hardly ever heard on the radio. what a shame!

Bart,
Here is the web site for Johnny Lee, it has quit a bit of information, new albums, his bio and tour dates. The tour dates change so you have to keep checking back to keep up to date.

Hey Bart, Sam and Terry...
Thanks for the welcome.
Looking forward to having many conversations with you boys.
Yes, I agree with you Terry about the NEW country chick singers. Although, Janie does have a new CD that is coming out later this month. It is Bluegrass.
My problem is, it doesn't have Tele or Steel Guitar.....That is what I do.
The CD is good.....but I like lectricated instruments.
Thanks again for the warm welcome.
Maybe I can learn a few things from you boys.
We (Janie Fricke Band), are in Wyoming at the moment...heading to Ohio. Great shows these last couple of weeks.
