Is there a steel player with the touring band of either of these singers? - [Sorry it should be 'Yoakam']
[This message was edited by Mike Baxter on 11 July 2004 at 10:02 AM.]

The last I heard, Dwight had dropped both Pete Anderson and Gary Morse (lead and steel) after they were on his last CD, and changed to a semi-unplugged sound.
Gary is now pat of Dierk Bently's great band.

Last time we saw Dwight, he was "simi-unplugged" - still awesome!

Dwight I think is still simi unplugged, however he does have Keith Gattis playing guitar, banjo, mandolin and Keith just recently purchased from me a Sho-Bud Fingertip model D10.Keith has worked in Nashville as a player and a sometime builder (For Dwayne Marrs).Maybe steel will come back to Dwight!
If you get the chance to hear these guys in person you wont be disappointed,go by and say hello to Keith,He love talking steel guitar and meeting new people,he might even tell you some stories of his days with Johnny Paycheck! You might even urge him to bring the old Sho-Bud to the stage again.

Keith Urban does not use steel on the road. It's a great band though, and it's great to see successful mainstream country artists who are fantastic musicians as well...
[This message was edited by Pete Finney on 11 July 2004 at 08:21 AM.]
