Can anyone recommend an experienced Reso Repair/Set-up guy around SF?

Frank Ford at Gryphon in Palo Alto. He's a genius. Check out www.frets.com for some great tutorials on instrument setup and all kinds of kewl stuff.

Yeah, I'd second that recommendation. Frank Ford is the best in the Bay Area as far as I can tell.

Thanks, I've never visited Gryphon but I'm familiar with the shop. This is a good reason. Are they far off 101?
I have a Dobro I inherited from a great friend & mentor and it needs some TLC. I haven't been able to muster the strength to touch it, not even to change the strings. So it's got to be in experienced hands.

Gryphon Stringed Instruments is on the fringe of downtown Palo Alto. As an added bonus, there's a Fry's Electronics store a block away.
Use Mapquest or Yahoo! to get directions from where you are. It'll be worth it.

The parking is real bad around there. I just park in the Frys lot and walk the block to the store.
