...just go buy 'em now and enjoy. Since such things so rarely present themselves these days, here's 3 new lap steel CDs to check out, found at our local Tower Records. (1) The Essential Resophonics, an interesting new accoustic ensemble which tackle a variety of styles, even 'On Green Dolphin Street'. (2) 'Hawaiian Guitar', by Harry Kalapana(Hougassian). A 'hits' retrospective of now hard to find material by this fine European steeler from the 1950/60s. (3) Richie Choffo's 'Steel My Heart'. He's from Maui and gives a nice range of talent on the accoustics and electric steel. Sweet stuff! His was a new name to me, and I hope to hear more from him and the others. So don't let Santa forget.
