Some may not know him,but he recently played at cm hall of fame,also records a little,plays 2-3 times a week,i met him on the forum,took my steel down to him in okla. and he took the time to set it up for me,since i knew nothing about one,i play 6 string guitar,he has helped me tremendisly,always ready to help me,anytime, most unselfish man i ever met,you guys know what i mean,lots of players dont want you laerning to much if thay live close you know what i mean there,but not my friend Jim,anyway God bless Jim Harper and wife Peg, |

You have just discovered one of Oklahoma's best kept secrets.
Jim is a fine fellow and I am glad to be able to say that he is one of my best friends.
He sold me my first pedal steel in 1970 and got me started in this steel guitar journey.
If you are at the "Texas" show in March, you should make it a point to meet him and you will have one of the best new friends you could ask for.
