Would Scotty ever consider asking RR to play?

I haven't been to the St. Louis show in years. Which sacred steel guys have been on the program?

thanks,
Drew

None yet. Frankly, I'd rather see The Campbell Brothers. I think they'd go over better with the audience, too.

Personally, I'd love to see Robert play in St Louis, but I'm afraid everybody would walk out on him.

Does anybody remember what happened when Buddy Cage played there?

It's my understanding that RR has indeed been invited a number of times, but requires too much $$ to get he and his whole band there. Scotty's convention, I can tell you, runs on a very tight budget. Also, I dont think people would walk out. I saw Chuck Campbell in the Sierra room two years ago and he had a huge crowd around him. It was a pack of very curious steelers learning about Sacred Steel for the first time. RR plays very, very high energy music, maybe it would scare a few folks, but I bet the majority of players would stick around in amazement.

I agree with Brad - I don't think too many would walk out. I'm with b0b on the Campbell Brothers idea though - they put on a great show, and it was great to have Chuck around that time that he came. I can't imagine them not being well-received.

With the right emergency recovery plan, I think it'd be ok!
Dante Harmon is playing this weekend at the Douglasville, GA show! Can't wait to hear him!!!!
