I was listening to her late eighties cover of "If my Heart Had Windows" and was wondering who the steeler was. It sure is purdy. Unfortunately I have it on her Greatest Hits album and the liner notes are kind of sketchy.
Can anyone enlighten me?

Thanks!

allmusic.com guide lists Paul Franklin as the steeler on that album.

I told Paul at the Opry one night when he was subing (sp) for Tommy White that if I could pick out a sound and tone in the Universe, it would be the sound that I heard on If My Heart Had Windows...by Patty Loveless.
It's a shame he didn't take the middle break.
