I'm sitting here watching a CBC music program called "Music Works", which is targetted toward people in the teen-to-25 bracket.
Anyway, there's a band on here led by a singer/composer/guitarist named Nathan Wiley (from P.E.I). In the band is a steel player named Dale Murray, and he's sounding good.
I couldn't categorize the music for you, nor could I tell you what brand of instrument he was playing... I just don't tend to pay much attention to that, but...
It was kinda refreshing, to have the instrument (and player) identified.
One of the questions asked of an audience member (I'd guess about 16) in order to win a prize was to "name that instrument". And, yes, we have a winner.
Dale, if you're out there, sounding good, man. Thanks, I really enjoyed that.

John, sounds cool, sorry I missed it.

I'm pretty sure he plays an MSA (saw him at the Edmonton Folk Fest last August) and trivia: I read somewhere he's Anne Murray's nephew.
