I really am enjoying the players "outside the mold" I'm hearing on steel guitar radio!
I mean....they're not playing steel numbers
(tho that's fine, too!) stuff (music) we don't expect to being so well done on an instrument that has no equal. You can hear the melody w/the proper harmonies .....everything! plus great single string improvisation. I guess I was brought up on swing (big band era 30s & 40s) & to hear these fine players swing out is pure joy to me! Thanks for breaking the mold! I want DSL or cable internet for Xmas! Hear me Santa, Baby?

I agree with YOU! Some very exceptionally fine steel work on the station. I've heard great performances by guitarists that never made it big here on the west coast. So nice to finally get to hear others in the industry
that are not among "The TOP THREE or FOUR" session players or whatever.
