Sure is Jimmy. I think he also is on GJ sings Bob Wills, right? (It's released as a dobble-album).

The last time that Jimmy Day moved back to Nashville, and was working the E.T. Midnight Jamboree with Justin Tubb, he told me that he was in the studio, doing a lot of material with George Jones! I wonder if he ever actually got the chance to hear the final mix! A friend and admired for many years! Still missed.

Amazing. I put that CD in my car today and listened to it on the way home from my gig. I wondered who the PSG player was. Jimmy Day eh'.

Thanks for all the responses.

Another question: I thought JD used a D9 tuning, but on at least one song he's playing in E and it sure sounds like an open 4th string -- an E. Did he use both E9 and D9, or am I just hearing wrong?
