Have any of you heard this album? It's got some really neat steel playing on it. I can't remember off hand who's doing the playing but he's very good.

Do any of you know if he's played on other records besides Robbies'?

Cory,

I know that Paul Carastia(sp?) a fellow Chicagoan played on some tracks on Robbie's record. I also know that Robbie had Tom Brumley play on a bunch of tunes. The one tune that I really remember was "Dirty Mouth Flo" on the South Mouth record. Tom Brumley plays some terrific stuff on that cut. I can't remember who specifically played on that Country Love Songs record. I have it at home and will look tonight.

Paul Carestia plays the excellent solo on "Barely Human". He also plays a very nice one on Robbie's "I just want to meet the man" which is on the cd "The Best Of Robbie Fulks".

Robbie Fulks is one of the greatest!
Check out his cd "Southmouth", which contains some superior steeling as well!

Love that record. Lyrically tongue in cheek, but musically straight up, great stuff.

Brumley's work is mindblowing on that record; Fulks is also (from what he mentioned when I talked to him at a show he played) working with Mr. Lloyd Green on a Johnny Paycheck tribute. Should be astounding, I am thinking.
