I had the good fortune and great pleasure of meeting and hearing an awesome 2 hours of fine fine steel guitar playing by Danny Hawk with Gary P. Nunn, last Friday evening.

I got a call on Monday to fill in with the opening act - their first 3 choices had declined...

Danny's a great steel guitar player, clearly a master of technique, tone, and versatility. And he's a heck of a nice guy, too. He even let me run my guitar through his rig for my set.
