I just got an e mail from DanTyack. In fact I saw him play about 3 weeks ago in Seattle. He was with some young musicians playing at the Owl and Thistle in downtown Seattle. He is also with a gosple group he e mailed me back when I asked where he was playing, It was pretty short notice and I unfortunately had other obligations so I didn't make it. But yes, he is alive and well in the N.W.
