As a young kid in the late 60's and early 70's we always watched the country TV shows on Saturday night. I cannot remember who Porter Waggoner used for his steel player on his TV show. I know Rugg played on the Wilburn Brothers and Brumley was on the Buck Owens show. That era was right before the sound of the steel reached out and grabbed me. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I wish I could go back in time and watch those shows since that was the kind of country I enjoyed hearing....Paul

That would be Don Worden. He was also Porter's band leader and road manager for awhile. Also The Wilburn Brothers used Don Helms on their TV show for awhile.
