On the thread titled, "Every Time I'm Kissing You" by Faron Young, you told us you used C6 on that recording.

Since that time, I have received an email from someone saying, "he used E9th on parts of it".

Would you please tell us if you used E9th on any part of that recording; or was it ALL done on C6?

Carl,
It's very possible that I used the C6 tuning for the intro or wherever the pre G# sound is, and then used the E9 neck for fills. That type of tuning switching between background and lead was no big deal in that era and was probably integrated into a lot of artists records I was on. Ernest Tubb would be another good example.
