Shutting Down Web Site

Shutting Down Web Site
After much thought, I have decided to shut down the Rebel™,Ricky and Jeff web site. I find that it is taking up way too much of my time and I still have so much music that could be added to it. Also, Ricky and Jeff are much too busy to keep up with the requests for tab.
It's been a good run and I thank you all for the support you have shown since the site has been on-line. Perhaps down the road, I will bring it back.

I echo Dave's comment above. If it's possible to just let it stay up, so people can still benefit from all the great work you guys have already done, that would be wonderful. You don't have to keep adding to it, if you don't have the time. If there's a financial reason why you'd need to take it down, I'll bet there are a bunch of Forumites (myself included) who would chip in to help keep it afloat.

PLEASE! NO! Your efforts on the Rebel and Ricky site are most appreciated. The sound clips are 101 Steel Guitar, they are an education like no other. Please reconsider!
thanks,

Gotta chime in with the "just leave it up amd don\t worry about the updates" crowd. That's a real serious resource, especially for newbies like me....
Much thanks for all your work, whatever happens...

I have to concur with Jim Cohen here, please keep the site up and don´t worry about web site costs. Like him, I´d be more than happy to chip in to keep it up and running the way it is, with no need for updates.
Your site is an invaluable treasure chest of learning material both for the beginner and for the advanced, and to have it disappear, would really be a loss to the whole steel community. Please find a way to keep it up.

Yes, as others have said, thank you very much for all the time and effort you've put into the site! I'm a new steeler and it has been a wonderful learning tool for me. I only wish I'd spent more time there now that it is going offline. If you do decide to keep it going in its present state, I would also be among those willing to contribute.
Whatever you do, know that your work is very much appreciated.
Matt

A big oily tear fell from my Sho~Buds' changer when I read ur post. There's such a wealth of info, brought together in a thoughtful & intelligent way, that rewards and kudos are way long overdue. Just want you guys to know that what you've created is monumental, and I'd stand in line with everyone to do whatever it would take to keep it alive! Everlasting gratitude Graham - Rebel, Ricky, Jeff, and all who have contributed! Cz

This really is a great shame. You guys have done a wonderful job with the site, and I wish you all the very best for your future projects. There are so many people out there who have cause to be enormously grateful to this site and it will be an absolute tragedy if it does indeed close. There has to be a constructive way to keep it going somehow.
[This message was edited by Ken Byng on 18 April 2003 at 05:30 AM.]

Johan, the TAB and Soundclips section of that site is only 55 Mb big.
