OK Guys and Gals,

Hi Carl,

Can you post a picture of David Morse? Some of us don't watch much TV.

I was playing a club gig in the late 80's. We always had a good crowd. The more they drank the more we did too! One night we were pickin' away and a 6'or more guy walked in that was (to me) the spittin' image of the big "E". My initial thought was: what the F*%@ is Emmons doing in this joint? The guy's name was Tom. He was the younger brother of a regular of the place. As we got to know one another, he appreciated the resemblence. Never could talk him into wearing a derby though.

Might work, but I can't imagine him getting his hands anywhere near correct for the sync on Buddy's music tracks... not that THAT ever stopped Hollywood before. Close up shots of a real player and long shots of the actor acting up. He'd wear the derby, no question

No way, Carl! We have do do better than that. This is the only shot I could find that shows any resemblance to Buddy...

In this shot (in the pic below), David Morse looks more like Richard Simmons.

I always thought Buddy could play Richard Petty or vice versa.

I met a guy in Goshen, Indiana in '88 when we played a fair there. He was one of the stage hands provided by the venue. When he smiled he looked like a young Buddy twin. I told him he looked just like a friend of mine. He asked what his name was. When I told him and he said that he was related to some folks with that name. He sure looked like Buddy. (I don't think he was an actor though... )

Actually if Buddy had his choice for someone taking his role in a movie.I think he would prefer Brad Pitt or George Clooney. Let's face it there is no-one that can duplicate his playing so why expect anyone to be able to play him.
