We're over 30" at my house, and it's currently snowing like crazy. There are many roofs collapsing in the area from the weight, including the airport. Kinda crazy.

I can understand the inclement weather you guys are experiencing....just today it was cloudy and I had to wear a windbreaker for my morning run!

Sorry to hear about the property damage, but I imagine you need the moisture as it sure seemed dry when Bob Blair and I flew into Denver to connect to DFW for the Dallas show a couple weeks ago; in fact I talked to a guy on the flight back to Denver from Dallas and he mentioned that the (lack of) water situation was of some concern.

Just keep it west. I wish I did not have to worry about snow again until the begining of December.
It's been decent enough the past few days that I can clean busses outside in naturel light. Looks like rain and the 40's tomorrow but warmer for the weekend.
On the steel topic I'm trying to figure the easiest way to play 7th chords. I'm enjoying rythem tracks without the melody

One nice way is from the AB pedals down position, slide down two frets, releasing the A pedal and engageing the Knee Lever that lowers the E strings.
In other words, to go from D to D7, start on fret 5, pedals on, pick strings 8, 6, 5.
That's a D.
Slide down to the 3rd fret, rocking off the A pedal, so you end up on fret 3 with B pedal and D Lever. That's a D7.
Think of the part in "Today I Started Lovin You Again" where the words are, "I got over you, just long enough..."

Another nice one is actually using the 5 minor seventh chord to substitute for a 1 dominant seventh. In other words, in the key of D, use an Am7 to substitute for a D7.
From the open D at the 10th fret, simply slide down two frets to the 8th fret and add the A (B-C#) pedal.  There are a lot of melody notes there too. |
