What a great nite that was.I had to work at The Stage on Broadway and was surprised how many great steel players were down there.Door next to Stage was noone else then Mr.Johnny Cox and his new Millenium.WOW what a tone and beauty that is.That was my first contact with a new MSA,great job Reece.Great playing and the nicest guy Mr.Cox is.I had to bother him for a minute or two, hope he`s not mad,but I had to ask few questions about that MSA.Walking out the door I ren into noone else then Smiley himself, giving a 50 cent tour to our Irish steel guitar friends.I can tell you that all of them looked pretty happy, they couldn`t walk strait but they made it accros the Broadway .And they never come back to The Stage tho so much about my playing.Door next to Johny was Porter Waggoners steel player Mr. Fred Newell, also a great person and funny too.Great steel player with a interesting GFI, D-6/10.He uses the upper neck (6 strings) for his dobro and lap steel stuff.Great sound and guitar, super.Door next to him was Mr.Buck Reed, but I didn`t have a chanse to hear him tho.Hopefuly next time. For the ones who don`t know,Buck is a great picker who is working with Lyle Lowett (I don`t know how to spell that, sorry). So,even tho I tought that Tuesday nite will be a pretty bad it turned out to be a great nite for some good music.I would like to thank to all the guys for playing some great music and made my last tuesday nite probably the most exciting Tuesday nite I can imagine.
Sincerely,Damir |
