Leroy, since I got this shiny new pedal steel from the guitar store, I'm not "hanging out" anywhere but right here next to the phone because I don't want to miss any calls. The nice, friendly salesman assured me the easy way to get plenty of high-paying gigs was to become a pedal steel player so I wouldn't have to compete with the hordes of standard guitar players you see all over the place. Something about "supply and demand" and "cornering the market". Anyway, it all sounded pretty scientific, so here I am, new to pedal steel and new to the forum. Got to go. Don't want to tie up the phone line anymore. Image Seriously, I am new to pedal steel. If any of you Colorado guys have gigs coming up, let me know. You'll recognize me immediately. I'll be the guy staring at your shoes trying to figure out what all those little feet things do. Image

Welcome to this Great Forum Micheal from the Pyrenées in France.
that Salesmen did give you some good advice
i took up to Steelin' too 'cause of all them Guitar pickers crowdin' around.
i'm sure my fone don't ring as much as yours but at least i get the satisfaction of being part of the Happy Few that chose to Steel.
the moment i like most is when people ask me what is that instrument ? i know it's frequent but it has'nt been harassing yet Image
