What's Tommy up to nowadays? I loved his playing with Highway 101.

Touring with Burrito Deluxe (Sneaky Pete, Garth Hudson et al...) - check out the website (I *think* it's www.burritodeluxe.com but there might be a "-" or something in there )

Tommy Spurlock? That's a blast from the past. Around '84 or '85 I was working 6 nights a week at a club in North Long Beach, California called the DJ Ranch. Tommy worked with the off night band on Sunday afternoon and Monday nights playing lead guitar. I remember he'd stay over sometimes when we'd come in for the Sunday night thing after they'd done the afternoon show and watch us play. I remember him telling me once that he played a little steel. I never ever heard him play anything except lead until after I'd moved to Virginia in late '85 and one time I saw hime on the Nashville Network with Suzy Bogguss playing his butt off. Man, if I'd have known he played steel like that I'd have probably been a nervous wreck with him watching me. I barely knew him but he came off to me as a really nice guy a a really good picker. His lead guitar playing was excellent for sure...JH
