I´ve got an instrumental CD from -94, Country Steel Guitar, played by Jeff Taylor (Elap Music Ltd, (probably Britain)). Does anyone know who Jeff Taylor is?
The playing on the CD doesn´t have much personal touch as far as I can hear, so I don´t know if I´ve ever heard this guy before. (Maybe he´s so good that he plays clinically clean and hence can´t be tracked by style?)

There's a Jeff Taylor in Nashville... I think he's a drummer (worked with Johnny Cox?). I think he sings and plays guitar, too, but I don't know about steel.

Donny, the Jeff Taylor you're speaking of plays accordian with Johnny and The Time Jumpers. He played piano with them early on, but has been playing accordian for most of the time the band has been together, which is about 4 years now.
