Is Jerry Brightman switching Guitar Brands?

I think my Steel Guitar hero "Jerry Brightman" may be getting ready to make the switch from his longtime endorsed brand of (Emmons) to something else. I saw on Jerry's website under gear endorsements, it says "a new announcement is coming soon". Also I noticed the Emmons logos have been airbrushed out on his 2 Legrandes. I think he's having a new guitar built by as we speak. Could it possibly be the new MSA Millienum, Zumsteel (I don't think so), or maybe even a JCH or Franklin (very unlikely) Ahhhhhaaa, could it be a new Fessenden in the works. It will be interesting to see what Jerry will soon be playing. Nick
[This message was edited by Nick Reed on 09 February 2003 at 02:38 PM.]

We had 5 inches of snow in Van Buren, Ar
Sunday. It's about all melted now.

Nick, man, it's none of my business, but wouldn't you be better off staying out of other folks' brand of guitars? You nearly set off a bomb, with the "Team Carter" thread, and now here you go again! Maybe I'll meet you at St. Louis this year, and I'll tell you about my Emmons.

No Steve, I guess we probably won't. I'm not really interested in meeting you in St. Louis. But thanks anyway for the invite.

You sure have the updated information on professional players' instrument of choice.
It is a good thing that we have you here or we would never know what is going on....
I am sure that these professional players appreciate your 'speaking up for them"

Nick, I was being sarcastic. Look that word up. But I'm not gonna get into an argument with you here. That's not what the Forum's for, or what I'm into. Life is too short for me to worry about folks' reading comprehension.'Bye now.

Why is it so important, Nick? None of the steel guitar companies are publicly traded (yet). The only people with a stake in who plays what are the manufacturers themselves.

b0b,
It's not that important, I was just curious. If you'll look at Jerry's website, it states exactly what I said. Many formites have been on me lately as you well know. Some I deserve, and some I feel I don't. But aside from that, I really thought my post was a legitamet, so I figured the forum would be a good place to ask about it. Maybe I should be on that VIP(SL)afterall.
Steve, sorry about taking your post the wrong way. Nick
[This message was edited by Nick Reed on 11 February 2003 at 07:33 PM.]

Are
you thinking of switching brands, Nick?

Not really switching because I still love my Emmons guitars, but I did get me a used Carter S-10. Played it saturday night. It's smooth & light! BTW, I started to order a new Carter from John back in '97, but ended up buying my '66 P/P instead. At the time I was guitar poor. I've liked Carter's for quite awhile, but my favorite is still "Big E".

Nick,
Are you making fun of the fact that I own a Carter S-10?

Yes Mike, That's exactly why I said what I did, so I could make fun of your S-10.
GeeeeWhizzzzz. . . . .
Man, I don't even know you. . . .much less know what kind of guitar you have.

But as far as you're concerned Mike, I've never even heard of you till now. So be nice, and I'll try to be nice back.
