I went to Cowboy's Red River last Friday night to see my old buddy Junior play. If you live in the area, he really is a must see. What a gentleman and what a player. Makes me mad!!! I wanna break his fingers!!

It is sad however to his lack of utilization. Todays C&W (or whatever you call it) has very little steel. I remember sitting in at the Longhorn Ballroom in 1981, astounded by Junior and all the great songs they played. There was a lot of steel in songs back them.

My hat is off to him and I need to get out to hear him more often.

Regards,
Terry

I too used to go see Junior at the Longhorn Ballroom during the '80s playing with Dewey Groom. He was an inspiration then...If I had a night off from playing during the week, I would head over. I was never disappointed.

Junior is t terrific player!

There's only "one" Junior Knight. He's everything all you guys have talked about and in my book, much more. He has certainly been my "hero" as a musician for way too many years to count, but better than that, he has been mine and Barbara's friend for all those many years also. A better friend and person, one would be hard pressed to find, and as John Buffington mentioned "a brother in Christ".
See you soon Junior,
